Architect / Senior Architect

The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Architect to join our growing team based in Orchard Hills, NSW. In this role, you will be responsible for architectural design, BIM modelling, and technical documentation, ensuring designs are practical, accurate, and construction-ready. Working closely with the Project Manager and multidisciplinary teams, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality projects from concept design through to detailed documentation and construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Detail & Node Management: Take ownership of high-precision architectural detailing. Account for modular building tolerances, material characteristics (including ultra-high-strength concrete and steel frames), and production constraints to eliminate manufacturing and assembly errors at the design source.(Essential)

• BIM Modelling & Detailing: Utilize industry-leading BIM software to construct highly accurate digital models. Perform clash detection and technical detailing to provide error-free data for our robotic manufacturing systems.(Desirable)

• DfMA Execution: Apply DfMA principles throughout the entire design lifecycle. Ensure all architectural plans, nodes, and structural details are meticulously optimized for high-precision factory prefabrication, modular transport, and rapid on-site assembly.(Desirable)

• Cross-Functional Technical Collaboration: Partner closely with the Project Manager as the core technical bridge between design and manufacturing — supporting programme milestones, buildability reviews, and design-release schedules. Communicate closely with in-house structural engineers, factory production managers, and site teams to ensure design intent is accurately translated into manufacturing reality.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Extreme Attention to Detail (Essential): Highly sensitive to dimensions, structural nodes, and constructability. You must approach every architectural drawing and model with the rigorous precision demanded by a modern manufacturing environment.

• BIM Proficiency: Advanced, demonstrable expertise in modern BIM software (e.g., Revit, ArchiCAD) and related digital tools. Capable of independently building high-precision models that integrate manufacturing and assembly data.

• Professional Background: Hold a degree in Architecture, backed by a solid foundation in architectural detailing and technical construction knowledge.

• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent professional communication skills. Able to work collaboratively with the Project Manager and objectively analyze feedback from the factory floor and engineering teams to swiftly execute effective design adjustments.

• DfMA & Modular Construction Experience: Experience with Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) principles, production knowledge is highly valued. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and assembly methodologies will be considered an advantage.
