About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Assistant Service Manager to join our Research team. You’ll work alongside our Service Manager before stepping into the Acting Service Manager role during their maternity leave from November 2026 to September 2027, leading the day-to-day operations of the service with the support of our experienced leadership team. (The role as Assistant Service Manager is a permanent position which will be ongoing upon the return of the Service Manager).

This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring or experienced leader looking to further develop their leadership skills while making a meaningful impact within a supportive organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day operations of the centre
• Mentor, coach and support educators
• Build strong relationships with families and the local community
• Assist in maintaining compliance with the National Quality Framework and service policies and procedures
• Drive quality improvement and support service performance
• Prepare reports and documentation related to service operations

Skills & Experience

• Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education
• Current Working with Children Check
• Previous leadership experience in an early learning setting
• Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework and EYLF
• Sound understanding of funding types for Victoria ECEC
• Demonstrated commitment to child safety and wellbeing
