About the role
Loan Consultant (x2) — Part-Time, School Hours, Double BayFirst Ag Capital is a specialist funder to Australian and New Zealand agriculture, offering customers the ability to grow through supply chain finance solutions.With our continued growth we are seeking two part-time analysts to help us manage it.These roles are based in Double Bay, working 3–4 days per week during school hours, with flexibility around school holidays. Career breaks are expected here, not explained away — if you are stepping back into the workforce after time with family, we would love to hear from you.Ideally you would have experience in trade finance, credit writing and analytical skills, and experience evaluating financial risk for large commodity loans. Legal backgrounds and/or exposure to rural commodities would be helpful but are not essential.We are a family-friendly company that understands the needs of a busy household. This role is ideally suited to someone with extensive experience who now has school-hour commitments. These contracted positions pay a market rate dependant on experience.Key ResponsibilitiesCredit analysis: Loan credit writing, financial and industry analysis.Assess risk: Review loan documentation, manage facility rollovers and reconcile loan and security data.Monitor credit limits: Track customer accounts and information within our systems, and help keep product and governance policies and procedures up to date.Support teams: Work as part of a small, senior team — the role is cross-functional, working directly with the CEO and CFO.Job RequirementsEducation: Formal qualifications are desirable but not mandatory.Experience: At least three years of credit analysis, legal, or trade/agricultural finance experience.Skills: Strong numeracy and attention to detail. Knowledge of farm economics is helpful but can be learned on the job.Software: Ability to use financial analysis tools including the full Microsoft suite, plus a willingness to learn our internal systems and processes.ApplicationsIf you are looking to step back into the workforce, or seeking a chance to move away from full-time commitments, then this role could be for you.Applications close 30 August 2026 and should be emailed to justin@firstagcapital.com.
