Site Manager | SANECTOR | Mildura

San Miguel Yamamura Australasia (SMYA) is an established leader in packaging and contract wine filling in Australia and New Zealand. SMYA, a collective packaging specialist is composes of its key group members being, COSPAK, Vinocor, JMP Retail and SANECTOR.

SANECTOR are a dynamic organisation providing the Australian wine & beverage industries a comprehensive range of services relating to bottling, packaging, warehousing and distribution of wine and beverages.

We are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to lead and manage the day to day operations of our bottling facility based in Mildura. This is a site based role.

About the Role:

Reporting to the General Manager, you will provide both strategic and operational leadership for the Sanector site. Managing all aspects of production, warehousing, safety, quality, and people leadership, you will drive sustainable performance improvements, operational excellence, and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all manufacturing, production, and site operations, ensuring customer expectations are met while achieving production targets and operational performance objectives

• Meet budget targets through effective budget management, cost control & resource planning

• Identify and implement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and business profitability

• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and the sales team to support exceptional service delivery and identify new business opportunities.

• Supporting strategic growth initiatives through effective planning, reporting and operational decision-making

• Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges, minimising disruptions and ensuring consistent service and production performance

• Ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with company policies, procedures and safety requirements.

• Reporting on site performance, budget outcomes, productivity metrics, and improvement initiatives to the General Manager.

What are we looking for?

• Minimum 5 years experience in an Operations /Manufacturing Management role, ideally within Beverage Industry

• Experience in a wine industry or manufacturing environment will be highly regarded;

• Strong leadership skills – ability to build and motivate teams across multiple shifts;

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a high degree of initiative and flexibility;

• Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing and engaging at all levels;

• High communication skills & commercially astute;

• Experience in Lean manufacturing is advantageous.
