Kingston Libraries is part of the Arts, Events & Libraries department in the City of Kingston. The library service spans 80+ staff, 8 branches, 376 hours of weekly service delivery, a million annual loans, over 2,000 programs/events and 400,000 visitors annually.
Kingston Libraries operates eight public library branches, with major sites at Chelsea, Cheltenham, and Parkdale, and minor sites at Clarinda, Dingley Village, Highett, Patterson Lakes and Westall.
About the role:
Kingston City Council is looking for a qualified librarian to join the Kingston Libraries team in a part-time capacity, working 19 hours a week over Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, plus a weekend rotation. If you are a positive, self-motivated librarian with a strong customer focus and you enjoy working with people in a busy customer service environment, this is an ideal opportunity. You will have exceptional interpersonal skills, and a passion to be part of a community focused library service. This role is primarily based at Parkdale, Clarinda, and Westall libraries, but may be required to work across all 8 library sites as required. You may be required to move from site to site during shifts.
