About the role
St Patrick’s College is a Catholic day and boarding school for boys in Years 7 to 12. Located in Ballarat, the College is beautifully resourced and widely recognised for its strong sense of community, exceptional staff and vibrant culture. As a school in the Edmund Rice Tradition, our mission is inspired by the Touchstones of Liberating Education, Gospel Spirituality, Justice and Solidarity, and Inclusive Community.
At the heart of our vision is a commitment to educating hope-filled, compassionate and confident young men for their place in the world. This vision is grounded in the College’s four pillars: Faith, Tradition, Excellence and Joy.
The College is seeking an inspiring and highly organised Coordinator of Rowing to lead and shape the future of our College Rowing Program. This is a pivotal leadership position responsible for the overall planning, management and implementation of rowing across all levels, from emerging athletes through to our senior crews. The successful candidate will bring energy, vision and a commitment to developing students both on and off the water, while creating a culture that values participation, high performance, wellbeing, teamwork and personal growth.
Central to this role is the leadership and development of our coaching program. The Coordinator will recruit, support and mentor coaches, foster a collaborative coaching environment and ensure that decisions are guided by the safety, wellbeing and development of every student. Working closely with the Head Coach and Boatshed Manager, staff, families and external rowing bodies, the Coordinator will oversee the annual rowing calendar, training programs, crew development, regattas, camps, travel and events, while ensuring strong governance, compliance and communication across the program. The role will also play a key part in growing participation and promoting rowing as an integral and aspirational part of the St Patrick’s College experience.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting contribution to one of the College’s important sporting programs and to influence the experience and development of young rowers for years to come. We are looking for a strategic and collaborative leader who can combine sporting expertise with exceptional organisation, communication and people leadership.
If you are passionate about rowing, committed to developing young people and excited by the opportunity to build a thriving, inclusive and high-performing program, St Patrick’s College would love to hear from you.
As a staff member at St Patrick’s College, you will join a dynamic and supportive professional community that values collaboration, initiative and a commitment to the holistic development of each student.
