The OpportunityWe are building our Valuations practice from the ground up, and we’re looking for an experienced Manager to play a key role in shaping and growing the team.As one of the early hires into the practice, you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of complex valuation engagements while helping establish how the team operates, develops its people and delivers for clients.
Starting with a clean slate also means we are not constrained by legacy ways of working. We have the opportunity to embed AI, automation and technology into our valuation processes from day one, reducing repetitive work and enabling our people to focus on the commercial judgement, technical analysis and strategic thinking that drive valuation conclusions.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced valuations professional who wants more than simply managing an existing portfolio – you’ll have the chance to help build a practice and genuinely influence its future direction.
What You Will DoLead valuation engagements across businesses, shares, intangible assets and financial instruments for transaction, strategic and compliance purposes, taking ownership of technical quality and delivery.Review and challenge valuation models, methodologies, market evidence, benchmarks and key assumptions, applying sound technical and commercial judgement.Critically assess and stress-test financial forecasts, reconciling assumptions against due diligence findings, management projections and external benchmarks.Review and finalise client-ready valuation reports and supporting analysis prepared by Analysts and Senior Analysts, ensuring technical rigour and consistency.Build strong relationships with clients, auditors, tax advisers and other stakeholders, confidently communicating valuation methodologies, assumptions and conclusions.Drive the development of valuation process improvements, automation and AI-enabled tools to enhance the quality and efficiency of our work.Coach and develop Consultants and Senior Consultants, providing technical guidance, feedback and support to accelerate their professional development.Contribute to the continued development of the Valuations practice, including methodology, ways of working and broader growth initiatives.
What We Are Looking ForA Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Actuarial Studies or a related discipline.CA or CFA qualification, or currently in the final stages of completion.5+ years’ experience across valuations, transaction advisory, corporate finance or a related financial advisory environment.Demonstrated experience managing valuation engagements and reviewing and developing junior team members.Strong knowledge of financial accounting and valuation-related accounting standards.Advanced financial modelling capability, with the confidence to review, challenge and improve models prepared by others.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with sound commercial judgement.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting complex valuation matters to clients and senior stakeholders.High attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership over the quality of client deliverables.Familiarity with AI tools and a genuine interest in exploring how technology can transform traditional valuation processes.
