About the role 

As our Acquisition Executive, you will play a key role in driving the Victorian Chamber's growth by identifying, engaging and converting new members, customers, sponsors and partners. This is a true business development role suited to a proactive sales professional who enjoys hunting for opportunities, building relationships and closing deals. 

 Reporting to the Head of Acquisition, you will be responsible for building and managing your own pipeline, following up qualified leads and delivering revenue outcomes across membership, services, sponsorship and events. You'll engage with senior decision-makers, uncover business needs and position the Victorian Chamber's broad range of offerings in a compelling and commercially focused way. 

 Key responsibilities include: 

• Generating and qualifying new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, referrals and networking activities 
• Building and managing a healthy sales pipeline to achieve acquisition targets 
• Leading commercial conversations and preparing proposals and recommendations 
• Maintaining accurate CRM records, forecasts and pipeline reporting 
• Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to progress and convert opportunities 
• Ensuring a seamless transition of new members and customers to our Member Success team following conversion 

About you 

You are an energetic and results-driven sales professional who thrives on creating opportunities and turning prospects into long-term customers. You are commercially savvy, resilient and motivated by achieving targets while delivering an exceptional customer experience. 

 You will bring: 

• Demonstrated experience in sales, acquisition, business development or a similar new business-focused role 
• A proven ability to generate, qualify and convert a pipeline of opportunities 
• Strong prospecting, relationship-building and negotiation skills 
• Experience using CRM systems to manage activities, pipeline performance and forecasting 
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to engage senior decision-makers 
• A disciplined, proactive and accountable approach to achieving results in a target-driven environment
