Internal Sales Engineer - HVAC

Our client is an established and growing industrial business specialising in HVAC and air distribution solutions.

About the Role:
Based in Sydney, this newly created role is responsible for taking ownership of Sydney accounts, building strong relationships within the HVAC, construction, manufacturing or building products industry, while making a tangible impact on customer growth and retention. You will be closely liaising with Operations Manager, Director of Sales, Dispatch, Data Entry and Product Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to customer enquiries, provide product advice, and keep customers updated on orders.
• Prepare accurate quotations and proposals, follow up opportunities.
• Review fit-out specifications and technical drawings to assess product requirements and feasibility.
• Process customer orders accurately and coordinate with estimating, production, and operations teams.
• Support external sales representatives with quotations, customer communication, and sales administration.
• Manage incoming leads and proactively identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and monitor quotation pipelines to maximise conversion.
• Keep CRM records, quotations, customer information, and sales activities accurate and up to date.
• Manage competing priorities, ensuring urgent enquiries and time-sensitive orders are addressed.
• Support customer visits, presentations, meetings, and industry events as required.

About You:

• Mechanical Engineering background with strong technical aptitude and a customer-focused mindset.
• Experience in internal sales, customer service, sales support, or estimating.
• Organised, proactive, and confident managing multiple priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Excel, and Word.
