About The Opportunity
Ready to start building your career as a Fitter & Turner?
Bundaberg Regional Council is offering an exciting four-year Fitter & Turner Apprenticeship within our Water Services team, giving you the opportunity to earn while you learn and develop practical trade skills alongside qualified tradespeople.
As our Apprentice Fitter & Turner, you will work towards completing MEM30219 - Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Fitting) while gaining practical, on-the-job experience supporting Council’s Water Services operations.
Throughout your apprenticeship, you will work alongside qualified tradespeople and develop fitting and turning skills while assisting with the maintenance of Council equipment and assets. You will gain practical workplace experience, learn to safely use and maintain equipment, and participate in the theoretical training required to develop the skills of the trade.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical and mechanical work, is keen to learn, and wants to build the skills and experience needed for a career as a qualified tradesperson.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is ready to learn, work safely and develop their practical skills as part of a trade team.
To be successful in this apprenticeship, you will need to demonstrate:
First Aid/CPR, a Class C Driver Licence and Low Voltage Rescue certification, or the ability to obtain these, would also be desirable.
