Field Service/workshop Plant Mechanic EWP

About the role

Outrite Hire and Sales is seeking a Full-time Field Plant Mechanic EWP And a Workshop mechanic to join our team in Eastern Creek, NSW. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet of Elevated Work Platforms (EWPs) and other plant and equipment. This is a hands-on, field-based position that will see you travelling to customer sites to provide essential maintenance services.

What you'll be doing

1. Carrying out routine servicing and maintenance of EWPs and other plant equipment

2. Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on EWPs and other plant

3. Responding to callouts to customer sites to address equipment breakdowns

4. Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance and repair work completed

5. Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations and procedures

6. Providing feedback on equipment performance and recommending improvements

What we're looking for

1. Qualification in Automotive Mechanics or a related trade

2. Minimum 2 years' experience as a Field Plant Mechanic or similar role

3. Demonstrated expertise in the maintenance and repair of EWPs and other plant equipment

4. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

5. Commitment to safety and a proven ability to work autonomously

6. Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation

7. Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to customer sites
