Executive Housekeeper / Private PA – Private Residence

About the role

Must have a car, valid drivers license and live within 10kms or Toorak.

An exceptional long-term private household position. You will take responsibility for the day-to-day organisation, presentation and smooth running of a 4 bed private home in Toorak / Inner Melbourne. This is a varied, hands-on position for someone who genuinely enjoys creating order and running a household exceptionally well. It combines housekeeping responsibilities with a genuine personal-assistant component.

Key responsibilities

• Maintaining the home to an exceptionally high housekeeping standard

• Daily tidying, cleaning - whatever is needed and scheduled and periodic deep cleaning

• Laundry, ironing and garment care at a very high standard (Very organised)

• Changing and making beds, linen and wardrobe organisation

• Maintaining organised cupboards, drawers and storage areas

• Establishing and maintaining sensible household cleaning and maintenance schedules

• Grocery shopping and household errands

• Managing household supplies and inventories

• Keeping the pantry and refrigerator immaculate, organised and appropriately stocked

• Simple food and meal preparation, preparing ingredients and food ahead for the family where required

• Collecting and managing dry cleaning

• Receiving deliveries and arranging returns

• Coordinating tradespeople, maintenance and household appointments

• Overseeing contractors while they are working in the home

• Preparing the home for guests and occasional family entertaining

• Managing appointments and bookings

• Making restaurant, travel and other reservations

• Correspondence and basic administration

• Managing household paperwork and records

• Online ordering and purchasing

• Organising repairs, services and appointments

• Assisting with family schedules and general logistics

About you

• Exceptionally hardworking and takes genuine pride in doing things properly

• Completely trustworthy, honest and discreet

• Quiet, calm and respectful within a private home

• Extremely organised, tidy and detail-oriented

• Proactive — you notice what needs doing and take care of it

• Energetic and genuinely enjoys being hands-on

• Reliable, punctual and consistent

• Warm and approachable while respecting professional boundaries and family privacy

• Practical, sensible and able to prioritise independently

• Comfortable using a computer, email, online bookings and basic household administration

• A confident driver with a current driver's licence

• Experienced 4- or 5-star hotel housekeeper, senior room attendant or housekeeping supervisor, or similarly experienced professional

• Previous private-household experience highly regarded but not essential for an outstanding candidate with the right character, standards and work ethic

• Demonstrated history of staying with previous employers for several years highly regarded

• Must provide excellent, verifiable employment references who will be verbally checked

• Must provide direct contact details for previous employers/referees

• National Police Check required

• Current driver's licence required
