About The Role
We are looking for a passionate and creative Lifestyle Officer to join our team at Caves Beach on a part-time basis (Thursday and Friday).
This is an opportunity to bring your creativity, compassion and energy to a role where you can make a real difference to the daily lives of our residents. You’ll plan and deliver engaging lifestyle, leisure and recreational programs that reflect each resident’s interests, preferences, abilities and individual goals.
Working closely with residents, families and the broader interdisciplinary team, you’ll create opportunities that promote choice, independence, social connection, wellbeing and purposeful living.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Lifestyle Officer, You Will
Develop and deliver person-centred lifestyle programs that promote residents’ independence, choice, wellbeing and quality of lifeComplete resident assessments and maintain accurate and timely documentationDevelop individualised leisure and lifestyle programs that respond to residents’ social, emotional, cultural, spiritual, physical and cognitive needs, interests and abilitiesFacilitate a variety of one-to-one activities, group programs, recreational activities and special eventsSupport residents to maintain existing friendships, develop new connections and participate in community activitiesPlan and facilitate outings and bus trips, ensuring appropriate preparation, documentation and safety requirements are metRegularly monitor and evaluate programs to ensure they remain relevant, engaging and responsive to residents’ needsSeek feedback from residents and incorporate their ideas and preferences into program planning and continuous improvementWork collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality engagement and purposeful living opportunitiesSupport the Lifestyle and Leisure team to meet relevant quality, compliance and accreditation requirementsHelp foster a welcoming and inclusive environment where residents feel heard, valued and connected
Requirements
You are a people-focused, enthusiastic and creative individual who genuinely enjoys working with older people. You understand that meaningful engagement can have a significant impact on a person’s wellbeing and quality of life.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Bring
Certificate IV in Leisure and Health (or equivalent qualification)Experience in lifestyle, leisure, recreation, aged care, community services or a similar roleA genuine passion for supporting older people to live fulfilling and meaningful livesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsThe ability to build trusting and respectful relationships with residents, families and colleaguesStrong organisational, time-management and documentation skillsThe ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative teamCreativity and flexibility in developing activities that cater to a diverse range of interests, abilities and needsA strong commitment to person-centred care, dignity, choice and independenceA commitment to maintaining professional standards and contributing to a safe, inclusive and respectful environment for all residents
