Smarte Carte is looking for a friendly, reliable and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team at our Sydney Central store.

This is a full-time position working Sunday to Thursday, providing an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in delivering great customer service.

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be one of the friendly faces representing Smarte Carte. You will assist customers with a range of services including luggage wrapping, baggage storage, retail sales and general enquiries, while ensuring our store operates safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

About the role

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Providing professional, friendly and helpful customer service to customers and the general public
• Assisting customers with luggage wrapping, baggage storage, retail purchases and general enquiries
• Processing cash and EFTPOS transactions accurately
• Operating POS systems and completing end-of-shift reconciliation
• Safely operating baggage wrapping equipment and other relevant machinery in accordance with established procedures
• Completing baggage storage transactions and following all required security and safety procedures
• Answering telephone and online enquiries
• Restocking retail inventory and maintaining attractive, well-presented displays
• Completing daily documentation and operational requirements
• Maintaining a clean, organised and professional work environment
• Reporting hazards, incidents, near misses, accidents or property damage as required
• Taking care of Smarte Carte equipment, facilities and uniforms
• Handling found property appropriately and returning it to the relevant department
• Following all Smarte Carte, client and workplace health and safety policies and procedures
• Assisting with other duties as directed, following appropriate training

• Works well independently while also contributing positively to a team
• Is flexible and willing to assist with a variety of operational duties
