Specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Practice - Robina

We are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant / Dental Receptionist with an outgoing personality to join our small team at a modern specialist oral and maxillofacial surgery practice in Robina.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. You must be reliable, responsible, and committed to providing a high standard of patient care.

This position may also suit an overseas-qualified dentist who has not yet obtained Australian dental registration but wishes to continue working in the dental field, particularly in a treatment coordinator capacity.

Key Responsibilities

Duties will depend on your qualifications and experience and may include:

• Managing reception duties, appointments, patient enquiries, and payment processing.

• Coordinating treatment plans and communicating clearly with patients.

• Providing chairside assistance during surgical and implant procedures.

• Following sterilisation and infection-control protocols.

• Completing TRIOS intraoral scans.

• Assisting with 3D surgical-guide design and printing.

• Using practice systems, including Genie software and Sidexis CBCT.

Our practice has a strong focus on dental implants, so current implant knowledge or relevant surgical experience will be highly regarded.

Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous dental assisting, reception, or treatment coordination experience.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

• The ability to multitask in a busy specialist environment.

• A friendly, confident, and professional manner.

• Reliability, initiative, and a strong sense of responsibility.

• Confidence using computerised practice-management systems.

Dental qualifications are highly desirable, including:

• Certificate III in Dental Assisting

• Certificate IV in Dental Assisting - Dental Radiography

Applicants without these qualifications should be willing to undertake further training.
