About the role

We are seeking both a Qualified Cabinet Maker and an Apprentice to join our dynamic team at our workshop in Browns Plains, QLD 4118. These are full-time positions offering an excellent opportunity to work with a leading cabinet making business. The Qualified Cabinet Maker will play a key role in designing, crafting, and installing bespoke cabinetry for our valued clients, whilst the Apprentice will work alongside experienced tradespeople to develop their skills in this rewarding trade. Both positions offer the chance to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial applications, and to be part of a supportive and professional team environment.

Key responsibilities

For Qualified Cabinet Maker:

• Design and plan cabinet layouts and configurations based on client requirements and specifications

• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools with precision and safety awareness

• Select and prepare materials, ensuring quality standards are met throughout the manufacturing process

• Construct, assemble, and finish cabinets to exacting standards and specifications

• Measure, cut, and fit cabinetry on-site during installations

• Liaise with clients to understand their needs and ensure satisfaction with completed work

• Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment

• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards

For Apprentice:

• Learn cabinet making techniques and best practices from experienced tradespeople

• Assist in the construction, assembly, and finishing of cabinetry under supervision

• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and effectively

• Prepare materials and maintain the workshop in a clean and organised manner

• Support qualified cabinet makers on-site during installations and fittings

• Complete relevant apprenticeship training and achieve qualifications in cabinet making / shopfitting

• Develop knowledge of industry standards, safety protocols, and quality requirements

What we're looking for

For Qualified Cabinet Maker:

• Completed formal qualification in cabinet making

• Proficiency in operating woodworking machinery and hand tools safely

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Excellent measurement, cutting, and fitting accuracy

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Reliable, professional work ethic and commitment to quality

• Valid manual driver's licence is advantageous for on-site work

For Apprentice:

• School leaver or individual seeking to commence cabinet making apprenticeship

• Strong motivation and genuine interest in the cabinet making trade

• Good numeracy and literacy skills

• Physical fitness and ability to work in a practical environment

• Punctuality, reliability, and a positive attitude to learning

• Willingness to follow health and safety procedures and instructions

• Ability to work as part of a team and follow supervision

• Current Construction Induction Training (White Card) or willingness to obtain

• Valid manual driver's licence is advantageous for on-site work
