Social Group Coordinator (Mandarin Speaking)

The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of the Craig Family Centre.

**Volunteer Opportunity: Mandarin-Speaking Group Facilitator**
**Location:** Craig Family Centre, Ashburton
**Time Commitment:** Weekly or fortnightly (day/time flexible based on your availability)

**About the Role:**
We’re seeking a warm, friendly, and community-minded volunteer to help us establish and lead a **Mandarin-speaking social group for adults**.

**As the facilitator, you’ll guide gentle weekly gatherings that may include:**

* Friendly conversations in Mandarin and English
* Simple games and cultural activities
* Tea, coffee, and shared social time
* Optional group walks or public outings (e.g. library, community events, local services)

**Skills & Experience (desirable but not required):**

* Fluency in Mandarin (conversational level minimum)
* Basic English communication
* Experience working with community groups
* First Aid Certificate (preferred)
* Cultural sensitivity and inclusive communication skills

**About the Craig Family Centre:**

The Craig Family Centre is a vibrant not-for-profit community organisation in Ashburton. We run a wide variety of inclusive programs for all ages, including playgroups, education programs, social support activities, and wellbeing initiatives. Our goal is to help everyone feel connected, supported, and welcomed.
