About the Position
As the Technical Officer of Tourism, Recreation and Beauty Services, you will be responsible for maintaining front desk operations, salon equipment, supplies and facilities as necessary for the efficient operation of the Hair and Beauty Teams within the salons. 
This position will require operational control over the reception area, preparing materials for student practical lessons and providing products and resources for the day-to-day operations of the Hair and Beauty salons and teaching spaces. This role is required to maintain the premises as a clean and safe environment and provide administrative assistance and support to lecturing staff, as necessary. 

The role works closely with the hairdressing and beauty staff and will be expected to support team members, especially during peak training periods. The Team Leader may request special projects from time to time to support training and events held in the training salons and teaching spaces.

About You
To be successful, you will require:

• Hold a Certificate III in Hairdressing or Certificate III in Beauty Therapy.
• Demonstrated experience in the cleaning and sanitation of a commercial salon or spa.
• Demonstrated experience in managing/maintaining a small reception/retail environment. 
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and well within a team.
• Capacity to work with minimal supervision and the ability to manage workloads to meet conflicting deadlines.
• Ability to operate computer software packages such as Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel) and experience with computerised salon booking software.
• Commitment to the University’s values.

Appointment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory National Criminal History check and a valid NT Working with Children clearance

Remuneration 
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Employee Level 4-5. The base salary will be in the range of $70,037 - $87,716 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $81,943 - $102,627 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
