Experienced Commercial Painter – Government & Institutional Projects | Perth

Francescano Painting is expanding, and we are seeking an experienced, professional painter to join our growing team.

We deliver high-quality painting services across commercial, government, and institutional projects throughout Perth, including schools, public buildings, universities, and ongoing maintenance contracts.

We are looking for a skilled painter who is reliable, responsible, self-motivated, and takes genuine pride in their work. The right person will be comfortable working independently when required, managing their time well, and contributing positively to a professional team environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering high-standard painting finishes across a variety of commercial, government, and institutional environments.

Your work will include:

• Surface preparation, coatings, and finishing

• Interior and exterior commercial painting

• Brush, roller, and spray application

• Working independently and as part of a team

• Planning and completing allocated work efficiently

• Following site safety procedures and compliance requirements

• Maintaining clean and professional work areas

• Communicating effectively with supervisors, clients, and other trades

• Delivering projects on time and to specification

This role suits an experienced painter who is comfortable working within structured environments such as schools, universities, government facilities, and commercial buildings, where quality, safety, reliability, and professional conduct are essential.

Requirements

• Certificate III in Painting and Decorating, or equivalent trade qualification

• 10+ years professional painting experience

• Construction White Card

• Good spoken English

• Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship

• Ability to work independently without constant supervision

• Reliable, punctual, and respectful of agreed working hours

• Good communication and a positive attitude

• Strong work ethic and willingness to contribute to the team

Highly Regarded

• Spray painting and airless spray experience

• EWP (Elevated Work Platform) ticket

• Experience working on government maintenance contracts

• Experience within schools, universities, public buildings, or other institutional facilities

• Previous commercial painting project experience

• Ability to take responsibility for small jobs or work areas with minimal supervision
