Retail Store Manager

InStitchu is a leading Australian custom, made-to-measure fashion retailer offering personalised suits, shirts, jackets, trousers, wedding attire and accessories for men and women. We are seeking an experienced Retail Store Manager to lead our showroom team and manage its sales, customer service and daily operations.

Key duties include:

• Managing the showroom’s daily operations, sales performance and profitability.

• Achieving sales targets while delivering InStitchu’s personalised customer experience.

• Supervising staff serving customers and advising them on fabrics, garment styles, design options, fit and product suitability.

• Overseeing customer appointments, fittings, orders, alterations and after-sales service.

• Determining appropriate product, fabric and accessory levels according to customer demand.

• Coordinating stock control, purchasing, pricing and promotional activities.

• Maintaining accurate sales, stock, order and financial records.

• Preparing budgets and monitoring labour and operating expenses.

• Promoting InStitchu’s products, wedding services and showroom appointments.

• Recruiting, rostering, training, supervising and developing showroom employees.

• Monitoring individual and showroom performance and implementing improvements.

• Managing customer enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally.

• Maintaining InStitchu’s visual presentation and customer service standards.

• Ensuring compliance with company procedures, workplace requirements and WHS regulations.

• Reporting on sales, appointments, stock, expenses and overall showroom

Key Performance Indicators

Performance may be measured against:

• Store sales and revenue targets

• Sales conversion

• Average transaction value

• Customer satisfaction and service standards

• Stock accuracy and stock management

• Labour and operating costs

• Team productivity and individual performance

• Compliance with company policies and WHS requirements

• Achievement of store budget and profitability targets

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience managing a retail store or customer-facing business.

• Strong sales and customer service capability.

• Experience leading, training and managing employees.

• Commercial understanding of sales, stock, costs and store profitability.

• Strong organisational and time-management skills.

• Ability to analyse store performance and take appropriate action.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and make sound operational decisions.

• Experience with retail POS, inventory management and reporting systems.

• Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.

Qualifications

A relevant qualification in retail management, business, management or a related discipline is desirable. Relevant industry and management experience may also be considered.

Salary: $80,000
