We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Boilermaker to join our team at our Mackay Workshop on a full-time permanent basis.

About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for carrying out fabrication, repair and maintenance activities on a range of heavy earthmoving and mining equipment.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out fabrication, repairs and maintenance to heavy mining and earthmoving equipment

• Assisting with the proactive identification of repair and maintenance requirements

• Performing scheduled preventative and routine maintenance

• Completing structural repairs, modifications and general fabrication work to a high standard

• Working safely and efficiently to minimise equipment downtime

• Following all relevant safety procedures, risk assessments, SOPs, work instructions and permit requirements

• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised workshop environment

• Ensuring all work is completed to the required standard and within agreed timeframes

• Working collaboratively with the maintenance and workshop teams

• Actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Australian Trade Qualification as a Boilermaker

• Previous experience working with heavy earthmoving or mining equipment

• Experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy mobile equipment

• Experience with fabrication and structural repairs

• Highly desirable experience repairing and maintaining:

• Excavator and loader buckets

• Heavy equipment bodies and chassis

• Dozer blades, including re-skinning

• Other large-scale mining and earthmoving equipment

• Current Australian Driver's Licence

• HR Licence desirable

• Working at Heights certification desirable

• Confined Space certification desirable

• EWP, Forklift and Dogging/Rigging tickets highly desirable

• Strong commitment to health, safety, quality and the environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team

• A proactive approach with a strong focus on quality workmanship
