About the role
KSPC Engineering and Management Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated Project Engineer with graduate or early-career experience to join our dynamic civil engineering team.
This is a contract position based on a project site in remote Western Australia. You will support the delivery of civil construction projects from planning through to completion.
Working alongside an experienced project and supervision team, you will contribute to project planning, design coordination, quality assurance and site supervision while continuing to develop your professional capabilities.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical site experience and build a strong foundation for a successful engineering career.
Assist the project and supervision teams with project planning, design coordination and technical documentation.
Review engineering drawings, specifications and design documentation under appropriate supervision.
Conduct site inspections and observations, document progress and identify potential design or construction issues.
Assist with quantity calculations, progress measurements and project cost tracking.
Coordinate with contractors, consultants, suppliers and clients to support the achievement of project objectives.
Gather and analyse project data and prepare technical reports, site records and other project documentation.
Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of project schedules, budgets and resource plans.
Assist with quality assurance activities, including inspection and test plans, lot records and supporting documentation.
Support compliance with project health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
Participate in project meetings and provide clear updates regarding progress, risks and outstanding actions.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Graduate or early-career experience, preferably with up to one year of relevant industry experience.
A sound understanding of civil engineering principles and construction practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and relevant engineering or project-management software.
Strong technical documentation, reporting and drawing interpretation skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary project team.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and take responsibility.
A demonstrated commitment to health, safety, environmental and quality best practices.
A current Australian driver’s licence and willingness to work at project sites in remote Western Australia.
Membership, or eligibility for membership, with Engineers Australia or a similar professional body.
Full Australian working rights.
Previous exposure to civil construction, earthworks, drainage or concrete works will be highly regarded but is not essential.
