About the role:

You will work across a broad commercial litigation practice and be involved throughout the lifecycle of matters, including legal research, drafting pleadings and correspondence, preparing evidence, interlocutory applications, negotiations, mediations and court proceedings.

Your matters may include:

• Commercial and contractual disputes.
• Building and construction disputes.
• Insolvency and corporate recovery matters.
• Defamation matters.
• Court and tribunal proceedings.
• Mediations, negotiations and other forms of alternative dispute resolution.

Importantly, you won’t be pigeonholed into one area. As you develop, the team is happy to give you greater exposure to the areas that genuinely interest you and help you build the kind of litigation practice you want long term.

The ideal candidate:

• 1–2 years’ PQE in litigation or a related practice area.
• Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills.
• A commercial approach and strong attention to detail.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Confidence communicating with clients, colleagues and other stakeholders.
• A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of your work.
