REMEDIAL MASSAGE THERAPIST

6S PHYSIO are looking for a business partner Remedial Massage Therapist.  You would be working in our Mingara and Umina clinics, alongside Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists.  We have a large number of regular clients and a steady flow of new clients seeking Remedial Massage for the usual variety of complaints and self care, as well as complimenting their Physio or ExPhys treatments.

Ideally, we prefer to be associated with therapists who apply an evidence-based approach to manual therapy.  If your style of remedial massage involves energetic healing, auras, crystals, etc, we are probably not going to be a good fit for you.  However, if you have great manual skills - ideally built up over a solid period of experience - and you are comfortable assisting with musculoskeletal complaints, general muscle tension, recovery from or preparation for sport or fitness, and can help with the occasional challenging client with neurological conditions, then we would like to work alongside you.

We work on a Room Hire & Services arrangement, where we do almost all the admin work for you and we agree on a percentage.  You would be building your own business and we offer support in building your identity as a health professional, working in association with 6S PHYSIO. Linen and oils are provided as part of your agreement.

QUALIFICATIONS: minimum Diploma of Remedial Massage, potentially up to Myotherapy Degree

REGISTRATION: you will be registered with a relevant professional organisation and will be eligible to get provider numbers so your clients can claim from health funds.  You will also have your own independent business registration.

INSURANCE: you will be able to show you have current professional indemnity and public liability insurance, and you are strongly encouraged to have income protection insurance or your own workers compensation insurance, as your company will operate independently of 6S PHYSIO.
