Griffin Coal is a long established Western Australian coal producer supporting domestic power generation and key industrial customers. We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance and supply teams.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the General Manager, the Maintenance Manager has the responsibility of managing site planning and maintenance requirements for mobile plant and infrastructure as well as site procurement, supply and warehousing activities safely and in accordance with budget.

You will also:  

• Provide overall leadership and direction to the Maintenance and Supply Departments.

• Lead, coach and develop your people, demonstrating effective performance management and fostering a positive, accountable team culture.

• Oversee the planning, scheduling and implementation of maintenance for all mobile equipment and fixed plant.

• Manage mobile plant availability, quality and cost performance.

• Ensure the interaction of both production and maintenance requirements is effectively managed.

• Manage the maintenance infrastructure and mine site services, including building maintenance and dewatering, within budget and to schedule.

• Ensure warehousing, parts, purchasing, supply contracts and logistics are coordinated within budget and in accordance with company requirements and schedules.

EXPERIENCE

The preferred candidate will have:

• Demonstrated experience working within an open‑cut mining environment.

• A collaborative leadership style with strong communication and problem‑solving skills.

• A trade background with practical, hands‑on operational capability.

• A solid understanding of WHS (Mines) legislative and statutory requirements.

THE LOCATION & LIFESTYLE

Griffin Coal Ewington Mine is located near Collie, a town which is located 45 minutes from the coastal city of Bunbury and 2.5 hours from the capital city of Perth, Western Australia. This is a residential role and as such no relocation package is being offered.
