Career Medical Officer

Dudley Private Hospital is a 62 bed facility that provides a comprehensive range of medical, surgical, rehabilitation and psychiatric services. The hospital has 4 Operating Theatres including a Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory. Apart from general medical and surgical beds there are 27 licensed rehabilitation beds, a cardiac care unit and a 15 bed mental health unit, known as the Ramsay Clinic Orange. The Hospital is owned and operated by Ramsay Health Care.

We are seeking is seeking a dynamic and professional Career Medical Officer to join the team of our General Ward. This is a busy 47-bed ward where you will have the opportunity to care for patients from a variety of specialities across Cardiac, Surgical, Medical and Rehabilitation.

At Dudley Private Hospital you'll deliver quality, evidence-based medical care to our patients. Collaborating with a team of skilled professionals, you'll manage patients under the guidance of the Visiting Medical Officer, ensuring the highest standards of care.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate a strong clinical skillset with the ability to manage a broad spectrum of patients across our facility. You will have exceptional communication skills and demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The flexibility to handle on call components along with weekend and evening shifts are also required.

Skills and Experience

• Current and relevant AHPRA registration
• Minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience
• Previous experience on a general medical/surgical ward
• Demonstrated skills and clinical knowledge to manage a broad spectrum of presentations including medical, surgical and rehabilitation patients
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team and independently as required
• Competent in providing advanced life support measures
