Operations Manager Adult Bed Based Stream

About the Role
You are an experienced and effective mental health and wellbeing leader, with experience managing teams in complex systems that support the best outcomes for consumers, carers and the community more broadly. This role will continue to drive the Recommendations from the Royal Commission into Mental Health in ensuring our Bed Based Services are safe, respectful and driven by best practice guidelines including reducing restrictive interventions and active inclusion of lived, and living experience colleagues at all levels.

• In partnership with the Clinical Director Adult Bed Based Stream and Director of Lived Experience, provide leadership and oversight to the Adult Inpatient Unit, the Consultation Liaison Psychiatry Service, Footbridge Community Care Unit and the Prevention and Recovery Care service
• Lead implementation of clinical program strategies, operational plans and service improvement initiatives aligned to recovery-oriented approaches across the continuum of care
• Provide operational leadership to ensure integrated, effective and sustainable service delivery

Classifications for this position will be:

• Mental Health Registered Nurse Grade 7 NP79 ($223,158 per annum)
• Social Worker/Occupational Therapist Grade 7 AJ63/AJ17 ($180,575 per annum)

Your Contribution

• Registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) - all disciplines except Social Work
• Demonstrated senior leadership experience
• Current National criminal history check and Working with Children Check, or willing to obtain

Adult bed based teams form a significant part of the Mental Health and Wellbeing service. These teams work collaboratively and effectively with each other and the broader St Vincents Hospital network to ensure timely, appropriate and safe care to our consumers. The wellbeing of our people and teams ensures we can deliver the best possible care and continue to strive for innovation and excellence in all that we do.
