The opportunity we have available
This role is a newly created position to provide divisional support to the Consumer Safeguards, Media and Connectivity Division and the Triple Zero Custodian Division.
The Consumer Safeguards, Media and Connectivity Division is at the centre of developing policy and programs to ensure all Australians have access to safe and reliable connectivity and communications services, as well as ensuring the diversity of Australia’s media landscape. It also focuses on digital inclusion for Australia’s First Nations communities.
The Triple Zero Custodian Division oversees the Triple Zero ecosystem to help safeguard the continued availability of emergency calling for all Australians. It ensures the ecosystem is operating effectively, and that it is co-ordinated, connected and responsive.
This position will play an integral role in the operations of both divisions to enable division staff and executives to operate efficiently and effectively. The Divisional Support Officer will report directly to the Divisional Coordinator, Consumer Safeguards, Media and Connectivity Division, and will work closely with both division’s First Assistant Secretary (FAS) Executive Officers (EO).
This role provides a unique opportunity to operate across divisions and branches, with a large team of high-performing staff.

Desirable requirements
Candidates with substantial administration experience, in a government or similar environment such as executive, divisional, and project coordination or support roles would be at an advantage.
