Dental Receptionist/Assistant needed

Hobart Family Dental are seeking a qualified Dental Assistant to join us in a predominantly reception-based role.
We are offering a secure part-time position of 34 hours per week.

Salary is negotiable, commensurate with experience, skill level, and the specific responsibilities of the role.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting patients warmly upon arrival.

• Managing phone inquiries and processing emails.

• Optimising the appointment book for efficient scheduling.

• Processing patient payments via HICAPS and EFTPOS.

• Managing patient recalls and follow-up communications.

• Sterilising dental instruments according to infection control protocols.

• Maintaining sterilization room logs and tracking instrument cycles.

• Stepping into chairside assisting to support the team.

What we're looking for

• Hold a Cert III (or higher) in Dental Assisting

• Minimum of 1 year's experience as a Dental Receptionist

• Experience with Dental Software

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and the wider dental team

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately

• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care

• Ability to work well as part of a team

• Valid work authorisation to work in Australia
