Riva opens in Rose Bay next week. Right now the floor is empty, the glassware is still in boxes, and the opening team is still being built. That’s where you come in.

Opening teams are different. You’re not learning someone else’s way of doing things — you’re setting it. The service rhythm, the regulars who become part of the furniture, the standard every person hired after you will be measured against. Twelve months from now, when Riva is one of the hardest tables in the Eastern Suburbs to get, the people who opened it will be the ones who made that happen.

We’re hiring full-time, part-time and casual Wait Staff to be part of that.

About Riva

Riva is SRG Hospitality’s newest waterfront venue — Mediterranean-leaning, produce-driven, built around long lunches that turn into long afternoons. Big windows, big energy, and a room designed to make people want to stay.

SRG operates 15 venues across Sydney and is on the way to 24. We’re a group with genuine scale and structured career pathways, run with the care and attention of an independent.

What you’ll be doing

• Running your own section with confidence — reading tables, anticipating needs, keeping pace without ever looking rushed
• Knowing the menu properly: how dishes are built, what’s in them, what to recommend and why
• Handling allergens and dietary requirements with absolute accuracy
• Working the wine and cocktail list, and making recommendations that lift the guest’s experience
• Setting up, resetting and closing your section to standard, every shift
• Backing up your teammates instinctively — stepping in early, sharing the load, keeping service flowing

Who we’re looking for

• Previous restaurant floor experience — high-volume, quality-driven venues preferred
• Genuine warmth with guests, and the composure to hold it through a full room
• Current NSW RSA — essential
• Solid food and beverage knowledge, with real interest in building on it
• Available across evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Full working rights in Australia
