The Structural Drafter will prepare detailed structural and architectural drawings for a variety of building projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards and codes. Day-to-day responsibilities include producing and revising shop drawings, coordinating documentation with engineers and builders, and updating Building Information Modeling (BIM) models as designs develop. The role involves interpreting engineering sketches and specifications, resolving drafting issues with the project team, and supporting the delivery of efficient, buildable designs. The Structural Drafter will contribute to quality control of drawings and maintain organized documentation throughout the project lifecycle.Qualifications Ability to produce precise shop drawings and technical drawings that support structural fabrication and construction.Experience preparing and interpreting architectural drawings for coordination with structural design.Foundational knowledge of structural engineering principles and their application in practical design and documentation.Proficiency with Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and workflows for integrated project documentation.Competence with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and relevant drafting tools used in structural and architectural drafting.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple drawing packages and revisions.Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with engineers, builders, and other stakeholders on-site.Relevant qualification in drafting, civil/structural engineering, or a related discipline; experience in building or infrastructure projects is highly regarded.
