Female Disability Support Worker *afternoon shifts*

We are URGENTLY looking for one female Disability Support Worker to work in the Melton area primarily for AFTERNOON SHIFTS.

We are currently seeking an experienced and committed female Disability Support Worker to provide care for a female participant mostly in blocks of 2-3 hours, in the AFTERNOON during weekdays. There is also a possibility of additional shifts at varied times in the medium term. Availability for after school hours is ESSENTIAL (1-6pm).

Applicants must be experienced with a responsible attitude. The successful applicant will be expected to have a good understanding of how to support an individual living with a disability. You must be passionate about helping others to maintain their quality of life and independence. To be successful you will need to be compassionate and empathetic with strong listening and communication skills and have the ability to connect with people with behavioural challenges.

Qualifications & Experiences

We are looking for an energetic and dynamic Support Worker with the following:

• Certificate III / IV in Disability, Individual Support or relevant
• Current First Aid / CPR Certificate
• Driver licence
• NDIS Workers Screening Check
• Working With Children Check

Key Responsibilities & Duties for Disability Support Worker

• Support participant during afternoon routines
• Provide individualised support to our participants using a supportive and positive approach
• Motivate and promote participants' independence
• Assist the participants with their emotional, psychological, cultural needs
• May be required: provide in home support for daily living activities which could include personal care
• Provide transport when required
• Make sure our participants are HAPPY!
