Field Technician/Operator

Syntek Environmental is a leading company in providing waste treatment and handling services using a more natural way of approach technology.  

We wish to fill a position for a Wastewater Treatment Field Technician/Operator position in south-eastern Melbourne and are looking for an experienced, mechanically minded individual who is equally comfortable undertaking mechanical maintenance of systems or operating a waste water treatment plant.

An understanding of wastewater treatment and previous operational experience is desired. Previous experience identifying and implementing process improvements in an industrial setting would also be of value. The applicant is required to be able to perform hands on tasks and be familiar with mechanical device operation and maintenance. Required to have good communication skills and be a team player.

A company drug and alcohol policy is in place and may require you to complete a medical assessment.

Skills and Experience

‐ Current car licence, manual licence preferred

‐ Able to build strong relationships with clients and internal team members

‐ Troubleshooting & maintenance

- Record keeping and log sheet completion

- Machinery operation and maintenance

- Fork lift licence is preferred

‐ Able to perform manual handling tasks

‐ Able to work autonomously and collectively
