About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded accounting professional to leverage their audit experience in a dynamic and fast-paced retail environment.

The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Accountant (CA) with a strong foundation in external audit, preferably gained within a Big 4 accounting firm, and be looking to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and IFRS.

• Manage the month-end close process, including journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Lead the year-end audit process and act as the primary liaison with external auditors.

• Ensure compliance with statutory reporting, taxation requirements and internal controls.

• Provide technical accounting advice on complex accounting matters and transactions.

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance finance operations.

• Support budgeting, forecasting and management reporting activities.

• Mentor and support junior members of the finance team.

About You

You will be a technically strong finance professional who enjoys working collaboratively and delivering high-quality outcomes.

To be successful, you will have:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is essential.

• At least 4 years' audit experience, ideally gained within a Big 4 accounting firm (strong mid-tier firm experience will also be considered).

• Strong technical knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and IFRS.

• Experience preparing statutory financial statements.

• Exposure to Asia-Pacific markets, including Singapore, Malaysia and/or Hong Kong, will be highly regarded.

• Excellent analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Advanced Excel skills, with experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or NetSuite highly regarded.

• The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
