Marketing Copywriter

Copywriter - System-Generated Client CommunicationsLocation: Sydney, NSW (hybrid by arrangement)Function: Marketing & Communications / TechnologyReports to: Brand & Communications Lead and Technical Product Manager
This role reviews, rewrites, and standardises copy across a wide range of automated client documentation (proposals, welcome letters, quotes, invoices, and similar templates) to align with the client's brand, tone of voice, and legal/compliance requirements.You'll work closely with technology and product stakeholders, project managers, legal, compliance, brand, and subject matter experts to deliver high-quality copy updates efficiently, with meticulous attention to detail, and to tight timelines.Focus: tone-of-voice uplift and copy updates for system-generated client documents.Outputs: proposals, welcome letters, quotes, invoices, and other automated templates.Partners: product/tech, project management, legal, compliance, brand, and SMEs.Key responsibilitiesReview existing system-generated templates and client-facing communications; identify copy issues, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities.Rewrite and uplift content to reflect the client's tone of voice, style standards, and client-experience expectations.Ensure language is clear, consistent, and appropriate for regulated insurance-related communications.Maintain consistency of terminology and messaging across templates, including standard phrases and required statements.Partner with product/technology teams to understand system constraints (data fields, conditional logic, rendering limitations) and translate them into workable copy.Collaborate with legal and compliance to ensure required wording is accurate, approved, and correctly implemented.Manage multiple templates/workstreams concurrently; plan and prioritise to meet deadlines.Support testing and implementation by reviewing sample outputs and identifying copy/formatting defects before release.Key deliverables Uplifted, brand-aligned copy for the defined set of system-generated client document templates (including variants).A documented content inventory and change log to support governance, approvals, and implementation.Quality assurance support, including review of test outputs and defect capture prior to release.Required experience and capabilitiesProven copywriter, ideally in regulated/complex industries (insurance or financial services), able to uplift tone of voice in template/system-generated client documentation within brand guidelines.Strong editing/proofreading and attention to detail.Highly organised and delivery-focused under pressure; able to manage multiple systems and stakeholders.Works autonomously, solves problems proactively, and escalates risks early; comfortable partnering with product/tech, PMs, legal, compliance, brand, and SMEs.Preferred: insurance broking/operations documentation experience; familiarity with document-generation/template-management tools; experience with governance/approvals and audit-ready documentation.
