Client Relationship Specialist - Commercial Insurance (We Train You)

You're very good with people. You've probably heard it your whole working life. The catch is that the job you're good at has a ceiling, and you can feel the top of it.

We're Consolidated Insurance Brokers (CIB), and we're looking for someone from outside the insurance industry who is exceptional with everyday Australians. We'll teach you everything else.

The role

This is a new business role with a difference: we supply you with warm leads, so you're not cold-calling strangers. You'll meet commercial property owners, help them understand how to properly protect the building their livelihood depends on, and turn each new client into a lasting relationship that grows. The best people in this role don't write a policy and move on. They become the one broker a client trusts with everything, and the person that client happily refers to others. You'll start by mastering one product, commercial building insurance, and once you own it, we widen your world.

What we offer

- A starting salary of $70,000 to $80,000 plus super, which for most people we're talking to is a genuine step up.

- A clear, self-funding pay ladder. As you grow your client book, your base rises in $10,000 steps. Reach the top of the early ladder and you're on $110,000 plus super, plus an annual bonus, with the industry's real earning ceiling well above that.

- Proper training. We invest heavily in developing our people. If you learn quickly and never stop, you'll do very well here.

- You build trust with anyone, quickly, whatever walk of life they come from.

- You learn fast, and you teach yourself things for the satisfaction of it.

- You stay steady when things get busy or go wrong, and you finish what you start.

- You think for yourself. You're not looking for a script to hide behind.

- You read and you improve. If books like Robert Cialdini's Influence are already on your shelf, we'll get along.

The honest part

This is office-based while you learn, because you can't become a great broker from your kitchen table in your first year, and we won't pretend otherwise. It's real work, you'll be uncomfortable while you grow, and that's exactly the point.
