About your new employer:

• Our client is a specialist litigation firm with a particular focus on large and complex class actions.
• The firm has acted in some of Australia’s most significant litigation, representing individuals, consumers, shareholders and communities in proceedings against major corporations and government bodies.

About the role:

Working alongside senior practitioners, you will contribute to complex class actions and large-scale litigation from initial investigation through to trial, appeal and resolution. Your responsibilities may include:

• Conducting detailed legal and factual research.
• Drafting pleadings, affidavits, submissions and correspondence.
• Managing discovery and large volumes of evidence.
• Preparing briefs and liaising with counsel, experts and witnesses.
• Investigating potential claims and assessing legal causes of action.
• Communicating with clients and class members.
• Supporting the strategic management of complex litigation.

The ideal candidate:

• Have at least 3+ PQE gained within a respected litigation, commercial disputes or class actions practice.
• Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and sound professional judgement.
• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
