Destination:
Travelex is in its 50 year as the global leader in foreign exchange. In ANZ we aim to maintain to be the most trusted FX provider, driven by customer obsession, belief in our people and pride in our brand. Travelex has recently returned to Sydney Airport after 10 years to be the provider of choice. As a result, we are looking for an experienced Regional Manager to lead this large-scale operation to ensure growth, exceptional customer service and manage relationships with the airport and other business partners.

Your Passport:
To land this role, you will need to have solid experience managing in a big box environment or within a large portfolio of multi-site locations. Vital to success will be the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders from a wide variety of business standpoints. You will need to be able to influence decisions based on market knowledge and strategic intent. The Regional Manager will be an agile thinker who can efficiently manage multiple priorities and lead the ground team with clarity and vision with the customer at the centre of every decision. You will develop and elevate your field leaders and team, driving success and growth within the largest airport in the southern hemisphere. (That’s over 42.5 million passages annually across 9 square kilometers of property!)
Checked Baggage:
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a multi-site manager with a proven track record leading a minimum of 7 plus retail stores across a geographic spread or a Big Box manager managing 50+ employees
Strong financial and commercial acumen with the ability to analyse data insights and identify business and commercial risks and opportunities – able to think on your feet
Demonstrated experience and capability with change management, successfully leading teams through ambiguity and the ability to manage conflicting priorities
Strong influencing, negotiating and communications skills both written and verbal
Continued presence amongst all locations and shifts in this highly visible role

Additionally, you will come equipped with innovation and resolve to remove obstacles in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. The Regional Manager must be able to make decisions in the moment to adapt to rapid changes in customer patterns to achieve the best results, with customer care and experience always at the forefront. This role is for someone ready to take on a big challenge with high rewards that can work at pace and keep a calm, strategic head. Retail sales background is highly preferred for this role.
Flight times and Ground Transport:
The airport team operates from 3.30am to 11.30pm 7 days per week, and the Regional Manager will need to be accessible, available, and able to be on-site at those times as required (in conjunction with your airport leadership team).

Reporting to the NSW State Manager, the Regional Manager will be responsible for driving business growth through people by developing, coaching and empowering the team. The Regional Manager serves as the key motivator for the Airport Team in maximising sales and driving repeat clientele. This is a business-critical leadership role that drives positive sales results, creates and maintains a healthy workplace culture, and leads strategic change to increase profitability. By bringing strategy to life, the Regional Manager will ensure that the national, and local initiatives are executed with impact—strengthening customer connection, brand loyalty, and market presence.
