Experienced Motor Mechanic – Part Time / Casual

About the role

JR Auto Service Gold Coast is a family-owned and operated mechanical workshop located in Biggera Waters, known for providing high-quality workmanship, professional service, and honest advice to customers. We service and repair a wide range of vehicles, including a high volume of European and luxury vehicles such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen and more. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to continue developing their mechanical skills in a busy and varied workshop environment.

Key responsibilities

• General mechanical repairs and maintenance

• Logbook and scheduled servicing

• Brake, suspension and steering repairs

• Cooling system repairs

• Engine and general mechanical repairs

• Basic diagnostics and fault finding

• Vehicle inspections

• Identifying additional repairs or maintenance required

• Maintaining a high standard of workmanship

• Keeping your work area clean and organised

About you

• Be a qualified Motor Mechanic or currently studying towards an automotive mechanical qualification

• If currently studying, have good practical mechanical knowledge and previous hands-on workshop experience

• Have previous experience working in a mechanical workshop

• Be confident carrying out servicing, maintenance and general mechanical repairs

• Have good mechanical fault-finding skills

• Experience working with European vehicles is highly regarded, but not essential

• Be able to work independently where appropriate and also work well as part of a team

• Have strong attention to detail and take pride in their workmanship

• Be reliable, punctual and organised

• Hold a valid Australian Driver Licence
