Counter Sales/ Internal Sales

Allwest Fire Supplies is looking for a switched-on, hands-on person to join our team in Counter Sales / Internal Sales.

This is not just a desk job.

One minute you’ll be serving a trade customer at the counter, the next you’ll be answering a sales enquiry, preparing an order or helping out with stock.

We’re looking for someone who likes dealing with people, knows how to get things done and is happy to roll up their sleeves when needed.

No fire industry experience? No problem. We’ll train you.

If you’ve worked in a trade counter, wholesaler, hardware, plumbing, electrical, building supplies, auto parts, warehouse or similar environment, you could be a great fit.

• Serving customers at the trade counter

• Taking orders and enquiries over the phone and email

• Preparing quotes and processing orders

• Helping customers find the right products

• Picking and preparing orders

• Building relationships with regular trade customers

• Learning our fire equipment and product range

• Getting involved wherever the team needs a hand

You don’t need to know everything on day one.

Attitude is more important than fire industry experience.

You’ll fit in well if you:

• Are practical and hands-on

• Enjoy talking to customers

• Have a bit of sales instinct and enjoy helping people

• Aren’t afraid to pick up a box or help in the warehouse

• Turn up, work hard and can be relied on

• Learn quickly and ask questions

• Can use a computer and pick up new systems

• Work well as part of a team

• Want to develop your skills and take on more responsibility

Previous experience in trade sales, counter sales, internal sales, warehousing, hardware, plumbing, electrical, building supplies, auto parts or wholesale would be highly regarded.

We’re prepared to invest in the right person.

You’ll receive full training on our products, systems and the fire industry, with support from an experienced team around you.
