Recruitment Links Australia Sai Aircon Systems is looking for a qualified Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing a wide range of cooling and refrigeration systems across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. The ideal candidate is a reliable tradesperson with strong technical skills and a commitment to safety and quality.

Benefits Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 per Annum + Superannuation. Task & responsibilities Reading technical drawings and job specifications to determine work requirements and plan installation layouts.   Cutting, bending, and joining copper tubing, and installing mounting brackets and pipework to connect system components.

  Installing and servicing key system parts including compressors, motors, condensers, evaporators, switches, and gauges.   Connecting pipes using methods such as brazing, soldering, and welding, and checking alignment and fit.   Pressurising systems with gas or fluid to test for leaks and carrying out repairs as needed.

  Using vacuum pumps to remove test gases and fluids, and recharging systems with refrigerant in line with regulations.   Performing evacuation, purging, and gas charging procedures using gauge manifolds and charging cylinders.   Overhauling complete air-conditioning and refrigeration systems to restore performance and reliability.

  Diagnosing system faults, identifying defective components, and carrying out repairs or replacements.   Adjusting system controls and settings, and reassembling units after servicing.   Keeping accurate records of faults found and actions taken during service and repair work.

  Handling gas cylinders safely and in accordance with workplace procedures.   Using all refrigeration tools and equipment with care and attention to safety.   Troubleshooting air-conditioning and refrigeration systems to pinpoint issues and determine the best course of action for repair.

Qualification & experience Having required licenses to work in the position as Airconditioning and Refrigeration mechanic or eligible to obtain licenses required with right qualifications and employment required.   Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.

  Sound knowledge of workplace safety practices and refrigerant handling regulations.   Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.   A positive attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
