Bodega Underground is seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our Mexican restaurant located on Little Bourke Street in Melbourne CBD.

We aim to create memorable dining experiences through our moody venue, and forward thinking offering of Mexican street food and beverages. For this, we need an energetic and passionate Chef to join our creative culinary team, who has the ability to work in a high volume, dietary friendly, small kitchen environment that packs a punch!

Position Requirements:

• Ability to plan, organise, and lead the team by example

• Assist in all aspects of food preparation

• Be ready to contribute creative ideas and menu changes

• Ability to keep up, keep a cool head, and lead in a fast paced, fun filled establishment

• Maintain high quality standards in busy service

• Ensure a positive relationship is maintained between back of house and front of house

• Understand the importance of food safety and ensure all members of BOH follow suit

• Inspire loyalty and dedication from your team

You will possess:

• The ability to curate memorable experiences for our guests through the quality of your food

• Proficient organisation and knife skills

• Professional verbal communication skills and strong eye for detail

• Impeccable hygiene, grooming and presentation

• Strong work ethic and flexibility to work over 7 days a week rotating roster
