Production Cook/Chef

Berger Ingredients is a leading Australian manufacturer of food ingredients.

We are looking for an experienced Production Cook or Chef to join our Hot kitchen team.

Working with our culinary team, you will be hands on preparing bulk sauces, vegetables and proteins for our production kitchens. You will be cooking with Jacketed kettles, Combi ovens and Bratt pans.

Shift time is 6am to 2pm daily or 2pm to 10pm Monday to Friday.

Shift loading payable when you work beyond your 7.6hrs.

In order to be successful in this role you will have:

• A comprehensive understanding of cooking
• Ability to follow recipes and cook bulk batches.
• Background in volume operations, hotels, stadiums, airlines, FMCG an advantage.
• A minimum 2 years’ experience working in a commercial kitchen set up.
• Consistency and ability to work safely and efficiently.
• Unlimited working rights in Australia
• Adhere to strict quality standards as provided by our QA team.
• Monitor product quality and documenting quality checks.
• Operation of processing equipment.
• Disassembly, cleaning and re-assembly of equipment
• Maintaining cleanliness of work area.

To be successful for this role you will need to have the following:

• Experience in high speed food manufacturing environment
• Good written & verbal communication
• Flexibility with working hours
• Ability to work un-supervised
• Have high awareness of hygiene and safety standards
• Have full Australian working rights
• Have a positive, can-do attitude!

Pay: $35.00 per hour
