About the role
About us
Aurelia Metals is an ASX-listed Australian mining company operating gold and base metals assets across New South Wales. Located near Braidwood, the Dargues Gold Mine is entering an exciting closure and rehabilitation phase, providing a rare opportunity to be involved in transforming a mining operation for its next chapter.
This role offers the chance to contribute to meaningful environmental and rehabilitation outcomes while working within a supportive, close-knit team. Backed by Aurelia's broader portfolio of operating mines and future growth projects, you will be part of a company committed to responsible mining, safety, inclusion and long-term sustainability.
About the role
You're someone who enjoys working outdoors, isn't afraid of hard work and takes pride in rolling up your sleeves and getting the job done.
This is a hands-on role suited to a practical person who enjoys variety and being part of a small team where everyone contributes. You might be collecting environmental samples one day, helping with rehabilitation works the next, or jumping in to support another area of the operation when needed.
Ideally, you'll bring experience in environmental monitoring, land management, agriculture, mining, construction or a similar field. However, just as important is a positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn. If you're reliable, adaptable and keen to develop new skills, we'd love to hear from you.
To be successful in this role, you'll:
Enjoy working outdoors and undertaking physical, hands-on work
Have a strong work ethic and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed
Be a team player who values helping others and contributing to shared goals
Be comfortable performing a variety of tasks, with no two days the same
Have a genuine interest in environmental management and rehabilitation
Be safety-focused and able to work independently when required
Live locally or within reasonable commuting distance of Majors Creek
Essential Requirements
Current unrestricted C Class Driver's Licence
Ability to undertake physically demanding work
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to safety and environmental responsibility
Desirable
Experience in environmental, agricultural, mining, construction or land management activities
Experience operating machinery or mobile plant
ChemCert accreditation
Forklift Licence
First Aid qualifications
Working at Heights and/or Confined Space certifications
Please note: This is a residential role based near Majors Creek, NSW. Due to the nature of the position and limited accommodation availability, applicants should reside within approximately one hour of site or already reside in the area.
