About the role
The People and Culture Lead is the Law Society’s dedicated people and culture professional and is responsible for delivering the organisation’s end-to-end HR function. Operating as a standalone practitioner, the role partners closely with the CEO, Director Corporate Services and managers to provide trusted advice, workforce governance, employee relations support and HR systems leadership across the employee lifecycle.
This is a part-time position of approximately 0.6 FTE, with flexibility by agreement, offered on an initial two-year fixed-term contract. Remuneration will be negotiated with the successful applicant and paid on a pro rata basis commensurate with experience and capability.
The role is responsible for recruitment and onboarding, employment administration, workforce compliance, employee relations, HR systems administration, workforce reporting, learning and development, organisational culture and wellbeing initiatives, and payroll-related workforce administration. It combines workforce planning, organisational development and continuous improvement initiatives with hands-on operational delivery of people services.
