Diesel Fitter – Commissioning & Return to Service (HME)

Joyce Mechanical Services is looking for an experienced Diesel Fitter to join our Mackay team on a 7 days on, 7 days off roster.

You'll work from our purpose-built Mackay workshop on major HME rebuilds, with opportunities to head onsite and support machines before and after rebuild.

• $76.50/hr when working onsite

THE ROLE

You'll get involved across the full lifecycle of our rebuild and maintenance work, including:

• Major HME and bare chassis rebuilds

• Demobilisation and preparation of machinery for transport

• Onsite maintenance and post-rebuild support

• Diagnostics, troubleshooting and fault finding

• Supporting machines as they're returned to service

• General HME maintenance and repairs

It's a role for someone who enjoys fixing things, solving problems and seeing a job through, rather than doing the same task every swing.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their trade and can be trusted to get the job done properly.

You'll need:

• Trade qualification in Diesel Fitting or equivalent

• HME maintenance experience

• Bare chassis rebuild experience highly regarded

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills

• Good attention to detail and pride in your workmanship

• Ability to work independently when required

• A practical, solutions-focused attitude

• Strong commitment to safety and quality

• Current mine site inductions highly regarded

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who turns up, gets involved, takes pride in their work and wants to be part of a team long term.
