About the role
The Business Development and Technical Service Representative position is based at our busy Sunshine North office, trade counter and showroom. This is a hands-on and varied role, with a strong focus on sales, business development and technical service. Our products are technical, but comprehensive training and ongoing support will be provided. A technical service background will be highly desirable.
The role also includes showroom and trade counter sales, providing a valuable opportunity to develop your product knowledge and gain first-hand insight into our customers' needs. This experience will directly support your business development and technical sales activities.
Key responsibilities
Preparing and following up quotes & Quoting technical service jobs
Generating new leads
Making outbound calls to existing customers
Arranging technical service bookings including machine breakdowns and annual service contracts
Building strong customer relationships through excellent phone manner and careful listening
Understanding customer requirements and recommending the right solution
Showroom and trade counter sales
Managing competing priorities and assisting trade counter and showroom customers
Answering phones and following up opportunities
Supporting external sales team
About you
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Ability to confidently multi-task, prioritise and manage competing demands
Positive, friendly and professional, with an excellent phone manner
Strong communication and listening skills
Confident speaking with customers and developing relationships
Comfortable learning and selling technical products
Initiative and proactive approach to finding solutions and improving processes
Takes pride in providing exceptional customer service
