Customer Service Officer/Salesperson

Goodchild Enterprises — Cockburn Central, WA [Full-Time, Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm]

Goodchild Enterprises is a family-owned automotive, industrial and leisure battery wholesaler — with three generations of family leadership currently involved in the business. We're the WA distributor for trusted brands like Bosch, Amaron, Alektro, Exsta, Hi-Tec Oils and Projecta, and we're known in the industry for genuinely knowing our product and looking after our customers.

We've got staff who've been with us for years, because we offer a stable, long-term position with weekly pay, a real team, and no hard-sell targets. You're helping trade and walk in customers find the right part, not chasing quotas.

• Serving customers at our Cockburn Central trade counter and over the phone/email

• Helping customers find the right battery, oil or parts for their vehicle or equipment

• Cross-referencing and interpreting parts using our catalogues and databases

• Processing orders accurately and building relationships with regular trade customers

• Learning our product range in depth so you can genuinely advise, not just sell

• Retail or trade counter sales experience

• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and online parts catalogues

• Able to lift up to 15kg regularly as part of the role

• Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

• A genuine interest in cars, engines or how things work

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience in automotive parts, batteries or related trade sales

• Existing parts interpreting / cross-referencing skills

• Automotive repair knowledge or terminology

No automotive background? If you've got strong customer service skills and a willingness to learn the product, we'll train you up.
