Help create a safer workplace for thousands of Council employees every day. As Senior Coordinator Safety, you lead Council’s WHS team and drive the systems, programs and initiatives that support physical safety, mental wellbeing and organisational compliance.
You mentor and develop a team of safety professionals, analyse incident and risk data, manage investigations, review safety performance and oversee improvements to Council’s WHS management systems. You work closely with leaders across the organisation, providing expert advice, delivering training and supporting practical solutions to workplace risks.
A key part of the role is leading psychosocial safety initiatives. You provide our leaders with assistance to assess workplace stressors, manage psychosocial risks, and promote a culture where employees feel supported and safe at work.
The work you do directly impacts employees across Council. By improving safety systems, addressing risks and supporting both physical and psychological wellbeing, you help create a workplace where people can perform their roles safely and return home safely each day.
This role suits an experienced WHS leader with strong leadership skills and a track record of improving safety outcomes, developing teams and driving positive workplace culture.
