Construction Manager

The opportunity

Exciting new opportunity for a Construction Manager to join our Energy & Utilities business working across Water and Sewer Main Renewals projects for VIC's Water Services Programs. In addition to overseeing the construction phase of the program's renewals projects, you will be collaborating with design, scheduling, cost and commissioning and maintenance teams to ensure smooth transitions and project success.

What you'll doSubcontractor onboarding, Compliance, training, Review and monitor ATWP, onboarding of subcontractor's plant and EquipmentProvide site Supervision for all the projectsManage, coordinate and deliver a complex range of small and large projects, including, construction, maintenance, commissioning and handover of infrastructure and assetsManage and drive a culture of innovation in project delivery that results in delivery of ongoing efficiencies and improvements in project work practicesManage and ensure all the plant and equipment are fully compliant, inclusive risk assessment, regular maintenance register, calibration registerManage, coordinate, and maintain good working relationships with sub-contractors to effectively and efficiently deliver projectsManage and maintain good working relationships with a range of stakeholders prior and during the delivery of projectsDeliver projects so that they comply with and meet expectations from clients, communities, environmental management requirements and other legislative requirementsWork with project team to execute all the renewal projectsPrepare and maintain the ongoing plant and equipment replacement plan, inclusive of disposal, maintenance and capex submissionReview reporting on program performance and progress, including development of solutions to issues that compromise attainment of agreed performance targetsWhat we offerEmployee benefits including health and wellness initiativesAccess to Downer Group benefitsPersonalised career development and growth working with an industry leading team.Competitive remuneration packageSafety focused culture working within in leading services industryManagement support coupled with ongoing training and mentoringCareer enhancing opportunity to work within an ASX limited company
What we're looking for10yrs + Experience in Australian utility sector is favourableWater industry experience highly desirableExperience with with both direct labour and sub-contract personnelAppropriate level of industry related Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) training and experienceIntermediate/advanced Microsoft office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint Outlook MS Project)
